Play the following eighth note rhythm pattern holding an E Chord.
Notice that your right hand moves up and down continuously. In the following rhythm pattern, the right hand also moves continuously, but on the "3" count, it does not hit the strings on the down strum (indicated by [). To avoid hitting the strings on this down strum, move your right hand slightly away from the strings.
