The following exercises are used mainly in a rock or eighth note rhythm. With practice however, they can also be applied in a slow to medium "Swing rhythm", to create a very dffective "Double Time" feel. Pay special attention to the accents.
The first three exercises (69,70, and 71) feature the use of the Paradiddle diddle. The accent is on the traditional first note of each Paradiddle - diddle.
A steady, even Bass drum and Hi - Hat is essential
Exercise 80 is the Double Stroke Roll in Sixteenth Note Triplet form.
