The root 5 minor seventh bar chord is based upon the open A minor seventh (Am7) chord which also has a commonly used optional note.
If this open shape is played as a bar chord on the fifth fret it becomes a Dm7 chord, and an Em7 if played on the seventh fret. See the following diagrams.
