To help you practice everything you have learned, there are some extra tracks on the CD for you to jam along with. Try out any of the lines in the book with these progressions, and make a habit of improvising your own phrases and solos. As well as this, you should play with other musicians as much as possible, as this will help to develop your playing and also put your lines in a musical context. Above all# keep practicing, keep playing and have fun.
No chord changes are given for this piece because the Blues progression is one you will need to be able to play by ear. If you need to work out the changes, look at the Blues in Bb on page 211. However, it is better to get away from the page as soon as possible. Your eventual aim should be to play any progression by ear in any key. This is a lifetime study, but all good Jazz players can do this to a large extent.
By now you should also know Rhythm Changes well enough that you don't need a chart. When playing fast tunes like this one, remember to leave space between your phrases so the listener has a chance to absorb what you are playing. You don't have to fill up every bar with notes!
