To play the note F, place the 1st finger of your left hand just behind the 1st fret of the 2nd string.

The note F is written in the first space of the staff.
Like you’ve done with each new note, sing the names of the notes (C, D, E, and F) the first time you play the song, and then count the beats 1 2 3 4 the second time through.

To play the note G, place the 2nd finger of your left hand just behind the 3rd fret of the 2nd string.

The note G is written on the second line of the staff.
G is the fifth note you have learned. With these five notes you will be able to play many songs. Remember to sing the names as you play this song and also practice counting the beats and tapping your foot as you play it.
