The Tie

The Tie

A tie is a curved line that connects two notes with the same position on the staff. A tie tells you to pick the first note only, and to hold it for the length of both notes.

To play the F chord, use the first and second fingers of your left hand as shown in the diagram. Strum all four strings.

In this song play four measures of the F chord.

When changing between F and G7 keep your first finger down. Finish this exercise by playing one strum of the F chord.
