When playing licks or solos, it is common to move between the various forms (patterns) of a scale by sliding form one to the next. The following diagram shows a commonly used scale pattern (sliding pattern 1) which moves b etween several forms of the A minor pentatonic scale. The arrows on the diagram indicate the most common notes to slide to or from when changing positions.

Here is a lick which makes use of this sliding scale pattern. Once you have the scale memorized, try creating your own licks from it.
